Quality for 7 generations
The Monteverdi family has been gravitating around the world of wine for over two hundred years, ever since Angelo Maria Monteverdi opened a small winery in the town of Casalpusterlengo in 1796.
Legend has it that Napoleon Bonaparte, who stopped with his troops in the Lampugnani fief, today Casalpusterlengo, asked his guests, for himself and his officers, for good food and wine. The latter was of such goodness that Napoleon not only liked it, but drank it abundantly. It was May 10, 1796.
From generation to generation we arrive at 1920 where, with Francesco Monteverdi, the first modern winery was founded. But it is with Antonio Monteverdi that the fame of the family winery develops and is consolidated with the production of quality wines.
With this vision, today the Monteverdi family, now in its seventh generation, continues the tradition by looking with serenity to the future that father Antonio has planned with so much passion and tenacity, with intuition and foresight for future generations.
