Passion for Winemaking

Tradition & Innavation

A qualified and constantly evolving production due to the exclusive use of the best bunches, traditional winemaking, the use of modern equipment and scrupulous processing systems are the basis of our work. The company policy throughout this time has been to privilege quality, using natural methods both as regards the cultivation of vines and for the processing of musts and the fermentation of bottled wine. We have adhered to tradition in its most genuine aspects for the protection of the charm and pleasure of flavors that are considered lost.

Our Story

The history of the winery originates from Lombardelli Ugo's will. He has always been passionate about his land and especially about the care of vines and winemaking, he decided to start the Ponte dell'Olio winery in the early 1980s. In those years, an ever closer collaboration between the Lombardelli company and the Monteverdi group was born, aimed at the production of what is now known as Dolce Novella Monteverdi. The high quality of the grapes, combined with the Group's willingness to take care of production, led to the acquisition of the company in 2020, thus creating Monteverdi Agricola.

Our Vinyards

Thirty hectares of vineyards stretch on the slopes of three magnificent hills of the Val Nure. The cultivated varieties reflect the tradition of Piacenza DOC: in Ortrugo, Malvasia, Sauvignon, Barbera, Bonarda, Cabernet and Lambrusco, many other more or less indigenous varieties are added, useful for the construction of our blends

Our Cellars

Our cellars have a total capacity of over 800 thousand liters of bulk wine and over a million bottles. A new area will soon be identified in which to build the first barrel cellar in the history of the winery
